This is a very tasty design and one that will work up in better shape than the engravings show. In this plan the porch roof, or gable, extends out over the front steps, a feature which adds very much to the convenience and beauty of the design. The plan is for a five room house, exclusive of hall, which can be used as a sitting hall. The cellar way is under front stairs and is entered from the pantry. A servant room can be arranged over the kitchen and entered by cutting a narrow passage off from bath room. This plan can be enlarged, reduced or changed to front in any direction. Interior, the entire inside woodwork, except stairs, is to be painted three coats in warm tints. Stairs of poplar, stained and varnished. Plastering, three-coat work, hard finish. Plumbing consists of sink and pump in kitchen, bath tub and bowl, all with connections. Outside materials, first and second stories clapboarded, belts wainscoted, gables and roof shingled. Foundations of brick. Outside blinds. Painting, three-coat work. Size, over all except steps, 26 feet 6 inches x 44 feet 6 inches. Height of first story, 9 feet; second story, 8 feet 4 inches. Depth of cellar, 6 feet 6 inches, under all except parlor.
This home has lost much of its original character due to being student housing for quite some time now. Try to get better current photos (including interior shots) and look for any additional old or historic ones as well.
